When he is visiting we have not even a single hair on the floor:)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2287572224300306186.post-35278079843608480382014-06-26T06:00:31.111-07:002014-06-26T06:00:31.111-07:00Glad you found me! Thanks for reading. I sure hope...Glad you found me! Thanks for reading. I sure hope you'll get a chance to go elsewhere besides Xi'an. Qingdao is really pretty, when you're not in my neighborhood that is. But it is not nearly as exciting as Shanghai. Beijing was interesting but the people are really rude. Food's good though. This province (Shandong) is not known for its' food. I am not sure how often my in-laws use toothpaste on their own toothbrushes but their smiles would indicate that perhaps it's either an occasional habit or they use plain water as well. My MIL is a woman who, bless her heart, mops our floor with plain water. Even though we have shown her cleaning products in our home that are in Chinese! I could go on and on, in fact...I do and quite often. That's why I started this blog in the first place. I wish you the very best of luck on your visit to Xi'an and look forward to your future posts as well. Went through several articles and I feel you...sure I live in Europe but what I experienced thus far in China during the past years I know what is going on :p
We will be mostly only in Xi'an, as it is the hometown of my wife. I hope we will go somewhere else but this failed thus far always due to laziness of my wife, who prefers staying at home, watching TV and eating snacks...
We also trained my MIL to use soap every time she washes hands. Furthermore it was rather shocking to hear that she uses for example toothpaste only in the morning because she believes all the cleaning stuff doesnt help anyways, oh well, so much for Chinese hygiene, at least they put their damn remote controls into plastic bags!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2287572224300306186.post-59611316202214426442014-06-25T07:14:20.952-07:002014-06-25T07:14:20.952-07:00Yes, prepare yourself for what's to come! LOL!...Yes, prepare yourself for what's to come! LOL! I love your blog by the way. It's nice to know I'm in good company. What city/cities will you visit while here and how long will you be in China? If it's cold, just arm your little man with little baby gloves and keep them tied on. It will keep people from touching his little hands and thus, spreading germs to them. This trick only works during winter though. As your son gets bigger, you will freak out slightly less as his immune system builds up. Don't be afraid to tell people to please clean their hands first. We actually trained my in-laws to wash their hands. WITH SOAP. Hope your trip goes well and you don't wind up clobbering too many creepy people. I have smacked my fair share of them. =)JQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17398355557660230873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2287572224300306186.post-77343327443634205282014-06-25T03:47:56.661-07:002014-06-25T03:47:56.661-07:00Oh joy, I can't wait to go with my son next ye...Oh joy, I can't wait to go with my son next year to China. Great MIL has already planned out on what occasions she can show of her mixed grandson to all her creepy friends. When we told her that they need to use at least the hand sanitizer she just got upset that we would think her friends are dirty, OFCOURSE THEY ARE DIRTY!! I have never seen them washing their hands in the past years and they want to touch our kid, hell no.,
At least in Europe people ask before touching and wash their hands but China..oh well, I expect already the worst possible next year...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
