Does immigration do that ? I hope things will work out for you all. You can always get a good job in AtlantA. That's what they'd do! I hope by the time this idea could actually be on the table, that my husband realizes just how stupid it is. Maybe someone can talk some sense into them. Or hopefully they won't want to come. I can't see them getting everything done through Guangzhou. I mentioned to him some of these points and I really hope he sees that they will be much happier here in China than to uproot themselves and come to a new place. They never try anything new so unless we lived near a Chinese market or restaurant, they'd starve. At least the laws bide me some time on this. Just pray that they don't come over! Next time he brings it up, you could him they're too old to adapt life in a completely new environment. By the time it happened everyone would be in work/school all day. What would they do? They wouldn't have any friends or other relatives. None of their familiar parks and shops. I think old people are actually more isolated here in the U.S. It's one thing China gets right. It's not like they're going to learn to drive at their age. You know how many neighborhoods in the US aren't walkable and public transit is sparse...they'd be marooned. Basically, put it in terms of why they're better off in China.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09211691412408934332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2287572224300306186.post-27539984806351530062015-06-13T00:47:30.369-07:002015-06-13T00:47:30.369-07:00OMG, good luck :D
